Subject: Shah jo Risalo--My gift on Eid & Ddiyyari to Sindhis all around the
world

Dear friends,
I wish you all a very happy Eid and Ddiyyari.
On these auspicious occasions, I feel immense pleasure in presenting
to Sindhis and lovers of Sindhi language all around the world the
first internet edition of Risalo of Shah Abdul Lateef Bhittai. The
eternal message of Shah Saaiin can now be accessed, searched,
researched, saved and even printed by anyone, anywhere in the world,
using internet connection and Internet Explorer 6 at
www.sindhicomputing.com.
I have used Kalyan Advani's edition, since it was the only relatively
error free edition available with me here in U.S.A. The internet
edition contains all the verses included in this edition.
This immortal poetry is something not merely to be praised, quoted or
appreciated, but something that needs to be lived, that is if one
wishes to benefit from it the way it was intended.
The work was started by me about 3 months ago and I express my deep
gratitude to the friends who by sharing the text entry made it
possible for me to complete it in relatively short time. They are:
Ahmad Chand, Shahnawaz Soomro, Muhammad Habib Sanai, Abdul Rahim
Nizamani, Faqir Aslah Ali Qalbani, Ashique Hussain Nizamani and Rashid
Buriro.
I request you to visit the webpages, send me your suggestions for
improvement, point out errors that you may come across and last but
not the least promote use of Sindhi on computers and internet by
passing this message to as many Sindhi friends and Sindhi mailing
lists as possible. This way you will also be making your contribution
in making Shah Saaeen’s work accessible and known to the world.
Yours truly
Abdul-Majid Bhurgri

[Editor's note: The Risalo is in Unicode, so it is compact and the
text is fully searchable. You can copy it to Word or Notebook, and
can also save on your computer. In Internet explorer, you can add the
page to favorites, then specify make available off-line (click the box
on the menu that pops up), then click on customize, click Yes and
increase Download counter to 2. Click next, leave the default of "when
I choose to synchronize". Click next, leave the default about password
(No). Then finish. Then go to tools menu on the Internet Explorer
and click on synchronize. Make sure the box next to the web link is
checked and click synchronize. You will then have the page available
off-line.
In Mozilla (and successors) click Control-S (have to do it for each
Suru as they are separate pages) and save to a file.]
