Subject: Birthday of Prof. Ram Punjwani celebrated by "Sindhu", Nagpur

Programme by "Sindhu",Nagpur "Sindhu", a new organisation formed
recently in Nagpur organised its first programme on 20th November
2004, Birthday of [Sindhi scholar, singer and sufi] late Professor Ram
Punjwani.  The programme was inaugurated by Shri Nari Lachhwani well
known poet and singer from Bhopal. He garlanded the portrait of
Ishtdev Jhule Laalu.  Mr. Manohar Aassudani garlanded the portrait of
Maa Saraswati and Smt. Bharti Aassudani garlanded the portrait of Prof
Ram Punjwani.  Afterwards Shri Nari Lachhwani (Bhopal),Dilip Lalwani
(Bhopal) and Manjushri Aassudani from Nagpur presented the famous
songs of Parasram Jiya, Narayan Shyam, Prabhu Wafa, Master Chander, Nari
Lachhwani, K.T.Dadlani and Prof.Vinod Aassudani. The trio created the
atmosphere of Sindh. All the famous songs sung by Prof. Ram Punjwani
were also sung by the trio.  Recently Audio casettes "Kangan ji
Khankaar" of Manjushri Aassudani was released by Shakaar
Aahuja. Manjushri presented selected songs from that casette also
which was very much liked by audience.  The programme was a grand
success.

Sindhu has decided to present Sindhi programmes twice in a year by
famous singers of India and abroad.  Prof. Vinod Aassudani a famous
poet from Nagpur conducted the programme very nicely. Mrs. Bharti
Aassudani presented vote of thanks.  Sarvashri Vinod Aassudani,
Manohar Aassudani, Tulsi Setia, Kishin Aassudani, Shankar Aahuja,
Jaikishan Vidhani, Kishor Lalwani, Laxman Thawani worked hard to make
the programme grand success.

Subject: "Sindhu Darshan" Ddiyaarii programme by Sindhudi, Nagpur [India]

"Sindhudi" a well known cultural organisation of Nagpur organised
"Sindhu Darshan" programme on ,21th November 2004 during its Diwali
[Ddiyaarii] Milan programme at Kille Kollar resort 12 kms away from
Nagpur at the Bank of Kollar river surrounded by natural scenes.  This
is one the best hotels of Nagpur and this was first time that any
resort has arranged sindhi programme.

The programme was a grand success and was attended by nearly 500
persons despite the winter season. The programme started and 4 p.m.
and went upto 11 p.m.  It was full of Sindhi songs, Bhajans, Chhej
dance and competitions for children.  Ku.Jaya Asnani, Vinod Ramani
presented the songs. Nisha Lalwani and Kiran Amarnani alongwith their
group presented the dance on "Andhia mein Jyot Jagain wara Sindhi" and
"Vande Mataram" Laxman Thawani presented the song sung by Bhagat
Kanwram in live form which was like by the audience.

The main attraction of the programme was customs of Sindhi community
from engagement till marriage in the form of short play full of Sindhi
songs in which live presentation was made of Engagement, Mehndi,
Saath, Tel Buki,Dikha and Vedi etc.  Tulsi Setia conducted the
programme very nicely.  Sarvashri Tulsi Setia, Jaikishan Vidhani,
Kishor Lalwani, Laxman Thawani, Gurmukh Motwani, Roshan Chawla, Rakesh
Motwani worked hard to make the programme grand success.
