My son, David, sent me your article about 'pita'. It's most
interesting. I am aware of the fear of curses among rural Sindhis but
had forgotten the term 'pita.'... I'm afraid I've neglected my
reading about Sindh. It will always be 'home' to us. We spent 34 years
there -- more than half our adult life. Sometimes my mind drifts back
there and I relive some of it in my memory.
