Workshop on Web publishing in Sindhi language concluded

A two-day workshop on web publishing in Sindhi language organized by the
World Conservation Union (IUCN) and SDNP with collaboration of Sindhi
Language Authority (SLA) concluded in Hyderabad on May 29.

The workshop was aimed at to facilitate media, educational institutions,
cultural and literary organizations as well as NGOs/CBOs to share and
disseminate information through websites in Sindhi language for the
preservation of Sindh heritage.

The Managing Editor daily Ibrat Qazi Asad Abid speaking on the occasion said
the information technology has developed a universal awareness and a sense
of global brotherhood, which has played a dominating role in economic and
social development of many countries.

Regarding computer networking in Sindhi newspapers he said that now most of
the Sindhi newspapers are switched over to computers.

The IUCN Chief Coordinator also addressed the gathering. Later Qazi Abid
distributed certificates among the participants of the workshop.
