  I think it was 17th October (mid-eighties) when buses of Mehran
  University and Sindh University, Jamshoro, carrying students of
  these universities as well as those of Liaqat Medical College
  (Jamshoro), were ambushed by well-entrenched [Pakistan] army troops,
  without any provocation, at Thori Phatak [railroad crossing]
  resulting in loss of life and scores of injuries.

  I remember that when I saw the buses the next day, their bodies
  appeared like sieves, having been pierced by countless bullets.
  Students were going to participate in "Jashn-i-Latif" (festival of
  Shah Latif) when the army of General Zia closed the railway-crossing
  gate and when the buses stopped, they sprayed bullets on them in a
  well-planned operation.

  A tribute to all who lost their lives for the motherland.
