Nadeem,

Just add to few comments.

In my opinion, they list Persian to attract the big Iranian community
living in LA, and lot of are
fascinated with Sufism. Knowing Abida Parveen's talent in singing and
language learning, she
I am sure will also sing in Persian. All the language, other than
SIndhi, she sings, i.e. Urdu, Seriaki, she has the perfect the accent
(after discussing with the native speakers).

One more comment on "Punjabized Seriaki", actually according to
Professor Shackle, the Seriaki
scholar in SOAS, London,( one of the renown, who wrote Seriaki grammar)
officially classifies
Seraiki into five dialects. What you call "punjabized seriaki" is named
"Multani". However, the
Seraiki Kafis sung by Abida tend be mostly from Baba Farid, and Sachal,
they are usually more closer to Sindhi, at least I understand it all (I
am known to have very poor language skills :).

It will be a great event, if she does not go into the "pop singing"
mode, I would recommend it to
all LA and Houstanians.
