The World Sindhi Institute condemns the barbaric acts of terrorism in the United States, which have resulted in the loss of thousands of innocent lives. The Institute offers condolences on behalf of the 40 million Sindhi people living in different parts of the world, and joins in the grief of the victims and their loved ones, and the American family as a whole. We are heartened to hear of the silent march against terrorism in Hyderabad, led by Sindhis. We encourage similar signs of solidarity with the victims, and ask Sindhis living around the world to wholeheartedly support the relief efforts in New York and Washington.
Being a nation that has suffered much at the hands of religious fanaticism and ethnic discrimination, Sindhis are well aware of the threats posed to peace, democracy and freedom by those who perpetrate such crimes against innocent humanity, and those who harbor these criminals. Pakistan's military establishment, particularly the Inter-Services Intelligence, has had a longstanding relationship with extremist Islamic groups and is known to be the primary ally of Afghanistan's Taliban regime. In the last decade, hundreds of religious seminaries (madrassas) funded and operated by extremist groups, have mushroomed throughout Pakistan, that churn out thousands of holy warriors (jihadis) trained to terrorize the world. This has introduced a culture of intolerance that threatens to fundamentally alter the peaceful and secular character of traditionally Sufi Sindhi society.
In view of these facts, the World Sindhi Institute welcomes the American initiative to cleanse the world of the scourge of terrorist violence, and hopes that it will deliver on the promise to target regimes that harbor and support the global terrorist enterprise, such as the military rulers of Pakistan. We also look forward to a dismantling of unstable Pakistan's weapons of mass destruction to protect the world from threats of mass violence in the future.
We ask all Sindhis, particularly those living in South Asia, to support and assist the international campaign in the universal spirit of the teachings of our spiritual guide Shah Latif. The cowards who have murdered thousands of innocent Americans have led South Asia into very uncertain times. Sindhis, as a historically peaceful nation, have a responsibility to the community of fellow civilized nations, which may come into conflict with their roles as citizens of the military-ruled Islamic Republic of Pakistan. At this historic juncture, when the world's eyes are focused on the region, Sindhis have an opportunity to demonstrate what they stand for. We align ourselves with the forces of freedom to resist the terror of fanatics.

We should plead with the leader of the world to take the right decision. May God give them strength and wisdom.
The meeting expressed deep condolences on the tragic events of USA resulting in heavy loss of life, property and bringing enormous grief for the people of USA and world.
The meeting condemned the atrocities and highlights that; this is the time to investigate the real causes that culminated the current tragedy. Forum insists that US and Western powers should reveal the real culprits before starting any military action. Forum believes that the causes of these attacks needs to be analyzed, understood and dealt in proper context to avoid the recurrence of such events in future.
The Forum also identified that these incidents could have been avoided if the Western powers were more supportive towards the liberal, democratic and tolerant forces. However, It is not too late to support the genuine democratic forces that represent the aspirations of the people of the region.
It was realized that Pakistan is trying to materialize the tragedy by putting the bargaining conditions, which may indicate the possible behind the scene involvement of these forces in creating US tragedy.
Looking at above situation meeting suggested to US and western powers should not support the undemocratic militarized, fundamentalist forces of Pakistan for their short-term gain. Their, such support in the past to similar forces can partly be cited for the current incident and can create more sinister repercussion for the regional and global peace, stability and prosperity.
